Ethics is complicated, and conflicts of interest are more complicated. What are the various issues involved with conflicts of interest? What does the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct say? We will discuss several seemingly ordinary, everyday conflicts of interest and how we should be more aware that conflicts of interest are common. We will discuss the ethical priorities of a CPA and how to apply them. What should you do when facing a conflict of interest? What is the "secret weapon" to help mitigate conflicts of interest?
